“I’m his mate.” I repeated and E.Gordon nodded. I swallowed hard. Was I even capable of being his mate? He was Alpha... I was... Me.

“That’s why you couldn’t mate with that boy,” he said but before I could say anything else he continued, “Look Hanna, we have come to level, a period in our generation that we can choose our own mates. But it wasn’t that way for our ancestors. Fate destined mates for them. They would love and cherish them till the end of their lives. Now just because we can choose our own mates, doesn’t mean Fate does not intervene. Yours and Alpha Black’s bonding is special. Don’t fight it.”
