“About us?” Damien whispered in a completely broken voice. I looked at him, my appetite gone. He looked torn, shattered. “You are having second thoughts now?” The disbelief was evident in his voice.

“No second thoughts,” I somehow managed to say. “Just... I need some alone time.”

“Don’t fucking lie to me Hanna!” Damien yelled. “I heard what you just said. I come home to find you in the bathroom, in the towel nonetheless, then you throw some weird attitude on me, then you say that you need to think about us?!”

I got up, all the anger I had been feeling for the past few days surfacing. “This is what I don’t get. Give Hanna rules, punish Hanna. Don’t let Hanna do that, don’t let Hanna do that. That’s all it is with you.”
