Chapter 31

I stared at him in horror and shock. Fear slowly trickled through my body, and I trembled. He was the man of my nightmares.

“Long time,” he commented as if we were at a tea party, engaged in a tête. Slowly, so slowly that my blood chilled with fear, he walked towards me.

“How did you manage to get in?” I asked, struggling to keep my voice strong. Fear consumed me from inside.

“Magic dearie,” he smirked, “The stupid Alpha would have expected that. I always knew you were going to be an Alpha’s mate, but you chose the wrong one. Tut tut.”

“Damien’s going to kill you,” I spoke weakly, memories of fifteen years ago haunting me. Nightmares which I had worked so hard to keep them at the back of my mind.

“Your Alpha isn’t going to do shit,” he growled. “You are mine. Fucking mine. I told you that
