Chapter 36

“Hanna?” Damien’s voice brought me out of my musings. I looked at him with a broken expression.

“I... I cannot,” I choked out, “You hurt me so much Damien. I don’t think I will get past it.”

Hurt filled Damien’s eyes. “Hanna... Don’t do this. I will do anything to win you back. To get back your trust. Give me a chance baby.”

I swallowed. I didn’t know what to do. Could I pretend that everything was sunshine and rainbows and get past this? No, a part of my mind whispered and I knew that part was right. I wouldn’t ever be able to get past this.

“Where were you?” Damien asked, drawing my attention to him. “I searched the entire territory. You even blocked me out Hanna. I couldn’t even smell you.”

I looked at him with a frown. Blocked him out? What?

“You were really angry with me and so was your wolf. She blocked us out,” Damien explained. “I cannot even imagine what would happen if you hadn’t come back.”

A shiver passed through me at his tone.
