Chapter 149. Go Back!
Domi stared intently at Hubert, who wouldn’t meet his eyes but looked idly toward the city center of S. Gritting his teeth, Domi shouted, unable to bear losing him:
"You’ll never be able to save him! You know his existence is finite; why are you being so stubborn? Come back to me, Ethan!"
"Ethan is dead. I am no longer that timid professor or doctor. I owe you for the time you protected me, Dominic Henry, but don’t cross my boundaries."
Though Hubert didn’t finish his sentence, Domi understood his unspoken message. Even with his current abilities, Hubert was no match for him; however, Hubert’s true strength in the original world dwarfed Domi’s. Hubert spoke as he did, perhaps, because he knew Domi would never harm him. Domi also knew that he would never harm Hubert, allowing him to tolerate such impertinence.
Now that Hubert had employed time-space teleportation to bring Domi’s body here, he understood that Hubert’s concession was half warning, half request.
