Chapter 46. Gold Diggers

Roseanna’s pov

“My son’s behavior changed when he got to know you,” Victor said and a faint smile appeared on my face 

“I have to go now, please take care of yourself” I was trying to avoid any kind of discussion with him, all I wanted was to confirm that he was alright, it was basically love for humanity 

“So soon?” Victor asked 

“Yes, I’ll come and see you some other time okay?” I stood up from my chair and noticed that the smile on his face disappeared 

“Okay, it’s fine,” Victor said 

“Thanks for understanding” I didn’t waste any time exiting the room, “The driver must be waiting for me outside,” I thought 

I hastened my footsteps and entered the hospital room, “I shouldn’t have come here at all” I thought as I entered the car

“You can take me home now,” I said to the driver 

“Turn the radio on!” I said to the driver, and he did as I asked. I closed my eyes while humming to the music
