Chapter 78. A Shoulder to Cry on
Roseanne's pov
I watched as Clara approached me with a frown on her face. "What's wrong? What did I do to deserve that look?" I asked and shifted to the end of the bench so that she could see somewhere to sit.
"I'm pissed, Roseanne, you lied to me," Clara said
"Lied to you about what, you're my best friend and I can't possibly tell you a lie, what's the matter," I asked and tried to stay calm, did she find out that I lied about the marriage, "Oh no, that'll be a disaster, at first I thought she knew because of the way we meet at Miller's party but she didn't and I couldn't tell her because of the agreement that we signed"
"Where's your husband?" she said with her hands on her waist, waiting for a response from me
"He's fine," I responded, remembering that I told her that we were fine and we were going to places together in this city
"That's not what I asked Roseanne, where is he?" Clara asked again
"He's at work, but I guess he'll be coming
