Chapter 80. The Letter

I got into the car, crossed my arms, and put my suitcase in the trunk. Clara started the engine and off we went from the mansion to the penthouse. I had this nagging feeling that maybe going to the penthouse Luca bought me wasn't such a great idea. I looked out the window and got lost in my thoughts. 

"Does Luca know about your divorce?" Clara asked.

"Nope, and I don't plan on telling him anytime soon. He'd worry too much. Let's keep it between us, okay?" I replied.

"Sure, that's cool. Luca loves playing the overprotective brother, anyway." We both chuckled and sighed.

"So, what's your plan now?" Clara asked.

"Duh, remember I got accepted into Duke and I paid the acceptance fee? I'm going to school." I answered.

"Yeah, I remember. But I'm kind of worried. I'm leaving tomorrow morning and I can't miss our Tokyo trip."

"What? You're going to Tokyo?" I asked, raising my voice and putting my hands on the chair in disbelief.
