Chapter 46. On a Thread
We arrived at the mansion and Mom left for the firm while Dad remained home.
“Aren’t you going to the firm?” I asked him.
“Are you chasing me from my own home?” he asked me.
“No, I am just concerned, it is 2 pm and Mom left a while ago,” I told him.
“Are you chasing me from my house?” He asked again.
“No, I am just worried,” I said.
“It is not your duty to worry about your parents,” He told me.
“What about the firm?” I asked.
“Your mom is there to run its affairs while I am home,” He answered.
“Aren’t you needed?” I asked him.
“Your mom is there, the firm is in capable hands. She can run the firm without my help,” He said.
“Oh, that’s great,” I said.
“Will that be all?” he asked me.
“Yes,” I paused and asked a question. “Are you going to your room?”
“Is there a problem?” He asked me and I shook my head. “No I am not going to my room, I am going to be here in the living room all day,” He said.
