Chapter 189

My third was equally useless, but when she said that I was obsessed with Aurora, she hit a home run there.

An ambulance is driving in the opposite direction when I pull up closer to the apartment. Surely I've had cops pull me over twice because I'm going over the speed limit to get to Aurora. 

Her apartment door is locked when I arrive, and I left my key in the car. Too unnerved to go back down and outside to my car, I knock. I take out my phone to call Bella again, but just as I'm about to call her, the four opens. My heart seems to settle in it's right position when I see Aurora holding it open. 

“Oh God, Thank you.” I whisper to myself, pulling her into my embrace.

Aurora pulls away, “Are you okay?”

“Bella told me what happened,” I rasp, taking a moment to look at her. She's fine, slightly pale in the face and her hair is ruffled up on top of her head but she looks fine, she's alive.

“Who is it?” I hear shout through the gentle music.
