Chapter 40. Son-in-Law

Mona watched Andrew eagerly devouring the food she had prepared. Half an hour ago, he had come to her house, claiming he was hungry because he had missed lunch. Mona had been searching for Emma, thinking they had come together, but Andrew explained that he had come alone because Emma was consulting with her thesis advisor at the university.

"Do you like it?" Mona asked, astonished by Andrew's portion. This was already his second plate.

Andrew nodded, answering with his mouth full. "I really like sweet soy sauce chicken, and your cooking is delicious."

"Really?" Mona asked in surprise.

Andrew swallowed his food and said softly, "Yes. This food is spectacular."

Mona was taken aback. "Alright then, you can eat them all. I consider my daughter's husband as my own son."
