Chapter 62. Affair

After an impromptu meeting labeled 'urgent' that gathered the entire board of directors, including a startled Arthur Jonas, Andrew asked Tom to take him to an address listed on a small piece of paper obtained from Detective Jacob. The evening was creeping in, painting the city's streets and buildings with its warm hues.

Andrew concluded the meeting with a shocking decision: the expansion of the parking lot was removed from the project's future plans. This decision sent ripples of whispers through the meeting room. Most of the meeting participants believed that Andrew's decision was biased. It was because one of the houses on the disputed land belonged to his mother-in-law, and that's why Andrew acted this way.
