Chapter 10

OLIVIA

I glanced over at the figure that was peeping through my room and saw Mrs. King coming in with a plate of soup in her hands. I smiled, remembering just how well she’s been treating me these past few days.

“How’re you feeling, honey? I made this soup especially for you, and it would for sure help you recover quickly,” she said.

I smiled at her and watched her hand it to me. I was indeed grateful for her because she was there for me and couldn’t have done it without her. It was truly nice of her.

“Aren’t you going to eat?” She asked after I stared at her for a long period. I didn’t say anything and suddenly broke down, crying in her arms.

I just couldn’t help myself as I let out everything that was in me. She was very kind enough to pull me close, patting my back softly as she whispered some soothing words into my ear.

“You don’t have to cry honey, everything will be alright,” she claimed but I just couldn’t help the tears that flowed.
