I was so stunned after hearing her say that. It took me aback, and I felt some kind of strange feeling wash over me, and I didn’t need anyone to help me figure out that it was guilt.
I tried hard to do away with the feeling, but it kept submerging its way through me, and it was driving me insane to the extent that I couldn’t take it anymore. I was fed up and wanted a break from it all.
I knew that her dad was dead, but never thought that today was her dad’s burial ceremony. It’s not like I cared but felt like I should have been there since I’m her husband otherwise the press would have gotten suspicious.
They were not what I cared about anyway, but I just didn’t want to have to deal with any rumors and hoped that they saw no sign of her throughout the burial ceremony.
I walked up to my room, but before going into my room, I could hear sobs coming straight from her room. I didn’t know why I wanted to comfort her so much and know what was wrong, but
