OLIVIA
“Who would have thought I’d ever run to save my life?” I muttered to myself, running through the woods.
“Olivia!” I could hear his voice from a distance, “I don’t want to hurt you, don’t make me hurt you.”
Ignoring his call, I had thrown my phone somewhere in the bush, Ethan would find me, I’m sure, but I didn’t know where I was.
Hearing the sound of a distant stream, I headed towards it, hoping the water would muffle my footsteps. The moonlight reflected on the water, creating a very calm scene.
Stopping to catch my breath, I listened for any sign of Nate. I was so tired and my contractions started, making it harder to run. I heard him calling my name, but I didn’t want to listen, placing my left hand on the tree to support myself, holding my belly doing the usual breathing we were asked to do in the hospital.
