Samuel looked at him at that moment, and an indecipherable emotion flashed in his eyes, something that Mikhail’s keen eyesight didn’t miss.

“We are unable to identify them yet,” Samuel finally answered. “The vampire hunters are still strategizing an infiltration plan.”

‘Is that so?’ Mikhail wondered, studying Samuel’s features. The man had always been a polite individual and sometimes even defended him and his kind.

Lydia sighed. “Is this really a good idea to be revealing this much, even if it might be a false alarm?” Her gaze rested on the Supernatural Council. “There are vampires present here, after all. If one of them is the real perpetrator, then they might slip away once this meeting is over.”
