The Twin Otter took-off into the 30 mile an hour wind in less than 1500 feet, and headed towards Scott's Hut. It is the only permanent relic of the bygone exploration era of man's attempt to reach the South Pole. The Hut is made of wood, and it never deteriorates, because of the lack of humidity, and subfreezing temperatures. Callie wanted pictures of the hut, but was smart enough to tell Harold to take them.

"Why me; I don't want to take my gloves of either."

Max said, "Why don't you just buy postcards at the commissary. They are much better than what you will take on your cell phones, and your fingers will not get frost bitten?"

Harold said to Max, "Now you know why I gave you that check. You are our pilot, our guide, and our medical advisor. You are a triple threat."
