"Quit pacing around like a caged dog, Alan, or get out. You're making me jittery."
"It's too early to leave, and I do my best thinking when I'm on my feet. I'm trying to jog my memory about the area without resorting to gadgets. If I had my laptop, it'd help, but I left it behind."
"Why not use mine?"
"I didn't know you had one."
"You probably don't even know we have a living room. It's always kitchen, bedroom, or bathroom with you. There are six other rooms, you know."
Alan grinned. "We'll have to explore them all next time."
"That's easy to say for a guy who needed a three-hour nap today. A 42-year-old woman made a 27-year-old man tap out."
"I've got a joke for that, but if I tell it, you'll chase me all over the house and I won't get to use your computer."
