“Layla, please, I’m so sorry for lying to you!” Rhiannon apologised with teary eyes as she rushed forward to catch up with her best friend, but Layla had already stepped into her room and slammed the door shut.

“Please,” Rhia touched the door, her voice shaking, “I couldn’t...I didn’t know how to tell you. God, Layla, I didn’t just know how!”
