Just as she opened her mouth to speak, Layla’s door opened and she stepped out of her room.
She looked tired, like she hadn’t gotten much sleep and her gaze first caught Rhia’s, with an unreadable look in them, before they slowly shifted to Eleanor, “Good morning, Eleanor,”
“Layla, hey!” Eleanor purred at her, “Perfect timing. I was just telling Rhiannon I would be moving in later today to take care of her. I’m sure you wouldn’t mind,”
Layla frowned instantly, “You’re moving in?”
“Yeah, I’ll be taking the spare room,”
“You must not have heard, then,”
“Heard what?” Eleanor asked inquisitively, while Rhia blinked in confusion.
“We already promised that room to the healers. They needed a place to store supplies closer to the centre of town, and since Rhiannon insisted on helping, she agreed to lend them the extra room. They’re coming by tomorrow to move everything in,”
