A nurse brings a wheelchair, but before I go, my mother-in-law asks to give me one last hug and says a quick prayer for everything to go well. And even without religion, I thank her. That means she cares a lot about me and Ariel.

Taesu also hugs me, touching my face and saying sweet words while looking into my eyes. He also talks to Ariel, asking her to come quickly and saying he’s excited to hold her too. When I feel his kiss on my belly and then on my cheek, I know it’s time to go.

Jaewon takes me in that wheelchair to the room where they’ll prepare me. He needs to be taken to another room too and that scares me.
