POV: Harin

My whole body felt heavy. My consciousness returned little by little, and I could already hear the soft voices around me.

“He should wake up, shouldn’t he?” I heard Taesu ask, concerned. “I’ll call the doctor.”

“Easy, Taesu, he’ll wake up,” Jaewon’s voice reassured. In that moment, I could feel his fingers tightening around mine. “I just hope it happens soon. I can’t stand waiting anymore.”

I smiled faintly, finally opening my eyes slowly. I looked at Jaewon, who was truly by my side. His eyes seemed to shine as he watched me.

“You’re awake, thank goodness,” I heard his gentle voice.

Then, my brother approached, and he seemed on the verge of tears in relief to see me awake.

“Brother!” he exclaimed, finally smiling. “Are you okay? Are you in pain?”

I shook my head and finally looked at my body, observing the bandages under the loose gown. It brought a delicious shock of reality.

My eyes returned to Jaewon.
