Chapter 80
POV: Harin
“I won’t find any of that,” I forced a smile and reached for my phone. “I’m going to call my brother.”
Jaewon watched as I called Taesu, and it didn’t take more than twenty minutes for me to find him at the hospital’s first reception.
Taesu hugged me, bombarded me with questions, and expressed his concern.
“I’ll go with you, okay?” My mother-in-law asked.
“No need, Mom, stay with Jaewon. My brother will be with me today.”
“Are you sure?” She asked, seeing her smile before hugging me. “I’m sorry you have to go through this,” I heard her whisper, and I hugged her tightly. “Take care, okay?”
Looking into her eyes, I nodded again.
Lastly, I felt Jaewon’s embrace. While Taesu called a taxi, I felt his arms squeezing me.
“Are you sure you’re okay?” He asked. I mumbled a confirmation, feeling good about resting in his embrace, on his chest.
I wished I could stay like this with him all night.
