I go to the closet, get a shirt for Ayla, and as soon as I return, I hear the sound of knocking on the door.

"Come in," I said.

It didn't take long for Ishtar to enter pushing a trolley with several trays. I know this isn't her job, but I'm very happy to have her as an ally and friend. I see her looking at Ayla intensely, my mate is pale, and her heart is barely beating, her skin is very cold, but it's not the same as Heat, it's just a side effect of the vampiric aura.

"Hey, I've brought some food that should help balance out her energy," Ishtar said.

I got up and grabbed the trolley, bringing it to the table and pulling the lids off the trays. I saw that there was a lot of rare meat, and the smell attracted Ayla's attention, making her raise her head anxiously.
