Chapter 31. Meeting Shani

We finally checked out of the cottage later that afternoon. We were heading back home and was picking up Milo at the so-called dog hotel when Walter's phone buzzed with an incoming call.

"Hi Shani, yes...she's here...yeah sure, okay wait..." Walter was on his phone, when he gave it to me moments later, saying Shani wanted to talk to me.

"Hi, Shani?..."

"Hey there Flo, sorry to interrupt your afternoon. But do you have time for a meet? I need to talk to you about Arkael, why don't I go to you, you're at Walt's right?"

"Yeah, we'll be home in about an hour. Alright then, see you later. Bye."

"What was that about?" He asked while taking Milo in his arm, I shook my head at him and shrugged. But before he could ask more questions, he laughed as Milo was licking him obviously excited to see him. Then he was barking at me, excited again making both of us laugh at the little pooch.

We arrived at his place forty minutes later. Walt was taking our
