Sarah's POV

I hastily returned to my flat, my brain racing with thoughts of Isklander and the impossible job ahead of me. As I unlocked the door, I entered my living room which was always familiar but it seemed different now. It felt like a cell, constantly reminding one about the perils lurking outside.

I walked up to the window and peered outside for some sign of Don Vince’s boys on the street below. They were certainly out there, waiting for me to do something. All of a sudden, my phone vibrated inside my pocket. I took it out after pausing for a while so that I could answer it.

“Hello?” I said, attempting to keep my voice from shaking.

“A call for help was made,” said the other person on the line in a deep smoky voice.

” It’s about time you knew Don Vince had Victor LaGrange in custody. But there is more- Isklander is also being relocated tonight under cover of darkness.” My heart skipped when the news hit home. Don Vince had Victor LaGrange captive and wa
