Chapter 260
Sarah’s P.o.V
I stood there frozen in horror, my eyes glued to the mangled wreck of my brother’s car partly sunk in water beneath the bridge. The vehicle which had once been so familiar looked like twisted charred remains with windows shattered where they are supposed to be and metal ripped apart. It was eerily quiet except that we could hear gentle waves lapping on the shore.
Overwhelmed by despair, I struggled to understand what I was staring at. An explosion? How could that have happened? Always careful and detail-oriented, that’s who Islander is. Somehow he is locked in there most likely dying... and icy chill rippled through me.
I forced myself near the brink as my heart raced with every step taken closer towards him but last bit by bit more destruction came into view. A rooftop all caved-in, doors deformed beyond recognition; it was pure madness! The disgrouped hood gave off my brother may not have lived through this ordeal.
