Chapter 56

“You can ove***se on painkillers and sleeping pills but I don’t think candy pills can do the trick.” He said and broke down into laughter. 

Blood flew to my cheeks and got up and walked out of the room. He followed closely behind me and I turned around to see him staring at me with that stupid smile on his face.

“What do you want?” I asked angrily.

“I want my dinner. I’ve been in a cell for the past few days, I haven’t had a good meal in a long time.” He said and tried to put his hands around me but I quickly pushed his hands away.

“Don’t touch me.” I retorted. How dare he? I was the one who put him in jail but who cares?

“So no dinner for me?” he asked with fake hurt. What was his issue? Why was he being so childish?

“What do you want to eat?” I asked tiredly. I did not have the strength for this, not so soon after my father’s death.

“Your rice and duck sauce. I also want snails and turkey breasts. And also a plate of salad on the side
