Chapter 98

I look down and freeze in shock.

I see spots of blood and I scream.

“What's the matter, “ the woman asked looking at me worriedly. I point downwards and she looks down to see a huge scorpion under my leg. Before I winked, she had smashed the scorpion and messed up the floor. I look at the woman curiously. She smiled at me before coming to sit with me again.

“ They are common on this part of the land, I'm glad you saw it before it could harm you and your child” she spoke like a research scientist. “ Anyways let's forget about the creature, it's my job to protect you. I owe your Uncle that, But now, What are you going to do?" the woman asks.

"You have a child on the way. You need to take care of yourself, and your baby." I look down at my stomach, and I place my hand on it. I think about the life inside me, and what kind of life I want to give this child.

"I want to start over," I say. "I want to start fresh, and make a new life for myself and my baby.
