“Tim,” Yves called, trailing behind Timothy. “Tim, listen. That was nothing. We were just—”

“Talking,” Timothy finished. “Talking, laughing, so happy in each other’s arms. I figured as much. You were just simply talking.”

“Come on. Don’t be like this. We’re just friends.”

“Oh, wow. Now you are friends? That’s fantastic progress! I wonder what it will be tomorrow.”

Yves groaned and hastened his pace to overtake Timothy, barricading himself in front of the evasive man. “Tim, can you just stop for a moment and listen?”

“Listen to what? The unfolding love story between you two?”

“What? No!” Yves blocked Timothy when he sidestepped him. “There’s no love unfolding between us because I already have someone I love, and that someone is you!”

“Really? I wonder how true that is.”

“Seriously, Tim?” Yves gaped. “You’re doubting my feelings for you? After everything we’ve been through?”

“Then let me ask you, Yves. Why are you with me?”

“
