Chapter 145
As I stood there, a laugh barely escaped my lips when Xavier emerged from the closet, something peculiar clutched in his hands. With a glint of longing in his eyes, he let his gaze sweep over my body, and a wave of desire seemed to saturate the air between us. "This truly feels like a shame," he murmured teasingly, "but the fact is, I'm not one to share."
"What do you mean?" I replied, half-confused, half-curious.
He continued, "Covering up your stunning body seems like a real loss to me. However, I've got something that might help." With that, Xavier handed me a package of boxers that were still sealed and a set of plain white short-sleeved t-shirts.
"Not exactly the height of fashion," he admitted with a chuckle, "but I can step outside while you change and look for your shoes." With a gentle kiss on my forehead, he left the room, leaving me momentarily alone with my thoughts.
