Chapter 61

Ellen had no idea how long she had been wasting time in the bathroom, soaking in the warm water. Alexa, as far as she could recall, was indeed waiting in Ellen's room to avoid exceeding the time limit. Ellen, in fact, purposefully took a bath to relax. She wasn't feeling particularly hot, but her mind was getting hot from unfulfilled expectations.

"He didn't even contact Alexa after learning that I had arrived safely. Is he genuinely interested in me? If he truly cared about my condition, he should have kept in touch with Alexa and checked in on me!"

Ellen became irritated just thinking about it. Chase's apathy irritates Ellen, and she can't stop herself. She couldn't tell Alexa about the complaint because she didn't want the maid to contact Chase first.

"I'm furious at you, Chase Dominique! You force me not-"

Ellen paused her sentence because she did not want Alexa to hear her complaint.

"
