Collin had been Aubrey’s friend for weeks. They talked, they teased, they laughed, and they seemed to enjoy each other’s company quite a bit. She adored his sense of humor, and she adored everything about him, to be honest. During the week they were together, she began to develop feelings for him, but she couldn’t tell him because she was afraid he would make fun of her.
Previously, he had told her not to fall for him, and she had stated that it would never happen to her. Was a woman’s heart always so trusting and naive? His little act of concern for her was regarded as priceless and something he should be commended. He was considerate, thoughtful, and considerate of others. The man may have appeared to be intimidating, but his heart was pure gold, and he was a true gentleman in every meaning of the word.
