Chapter 14

It was nearly midnight when he returned home with Scarlet, and because he was unable to sleep, he opted to watch a rerun of the evening news. When he first saw the woman on the screen, he quickly scowled his brows together. Was it Aubrey or someone else? Moving closer to the television, his nostrils flared with rage when he saw it was her on the screen before reaching for his car key.

Collin arrived at his destination early in the morning. After what happened between Scarlet and him, he realized his mistake and wanted to see Aubrey immediately. The maid was surprised when she opened the gate.

“Mr. Hendricks! It’s good to see you again, but-,” she said her greetings after letting him in.
