Chapter 114

Collin had a small amount of guilt over his behavior toward Scarlet, but he believed that Scarlet should be held responsible for what had happened to him because she had incited his rage when she called Aubrey a promiscuous one. In an effort to make things right with Scarlet, he decided to take responsibility for preparing their meal instead. Because of the injuries she sustained to her arms and legs, Scarlet would be unable to stand up and, more importantly, to make their dinner.

After checking the freezer, he decided to make his favorite dish. The sliced pork legs were the primary component that he decided to use in the soup. In addition to that, he got a head of cabbage, washed it, and then sliced it into pieces that were suitable for eating. In the meantime, he was defrosting the meat and cooking the rice while preparing the spices and vegetables. In order to achieve the desired level of spiciness in the soup, he chopped chilies to be added into the dish.
