The cold air perched on her skin and as she jogged beside him, her eyes darted from left to right. They were on top of the bridge that connected the island to the mainland, and she appreciated the bridge’s design. It has a specific lane for bikers and runners for safety purposes.
Aubrey stopped for a few minutes to smell the sea breeze and stared at the boat passing by. She was confident that the view would be even more spectacular during sunrise. She was about to jog again when someone bumped into her. She swayed at the impact but Collin came immediately to her rescue. Then, she heard him call the other person by the name she hated the most.
“Scarlet, fancy meeting you here! How come you’re here? What about my father?” Collin asked.
“Hi, Collin, nice meeting you too,” Scarlet replied, and then she glanced at Aubrey, and observed the woman’s appearance from head to toe. “Aubrey?”
Aubrey arched her eyebrows upon hearing Scarlet’s voice. They had a score to set
