Chapter 93

She rolled out of bed and went to open the door, then made her way cautiously over to Richard’s room. Aubrey inhaled deeply before knocking on the door. “Richard?” she asked. “Are you already starting to nod off?” He didn’t respond, but she heard him walk towards the door, which he opened after a few moments. Richard just opened the door but then he left without saying anything, causing her to enter into his bedroom.

“Why are you here, Aubrey? What do you want?” He inquired in a stern voice then he squinted his eyes at her as soon as soon as he noticed she was just wearing a flimsy nightwear.

“I couldn’t sleep because I was scared,” she said. “Why don’t you spend the night in my room? The bed is big enough for you to sleep on the other side if you want to,”  she suggested but later on, she realized it was a huge mistake to invite him over to the room she was using. She was about to cancel the invitation but then he opened his mouth to speak.
