The tension inside Chloe’s office was higher than the current temperature outside.

Tyler’s eyes were furious. His mind already decided that Chloe did a terrible action against his baby.

He held the stunned and motionless Chloe on the shoulders and started shrugging her until she spoke up and explained herself.

But she was devastated enough to know her husband, the one she chose to love despite all, never believed her words, not even once.

“So it’s always her words against mine, yet he never believed me, not now, not ever,” she kept repeating it to herself until tears overflowed.
