Chapter 80. Royal Rumble

“Chloe Myers,” he uttered his name in ways she could remember when he saw her walking towards him.

Chloe heard her say it and she had to admit, she liked the way he said her name. It was more gentle and more romantic than her husband used to do.

But Chloe blocked the affection which started to blossom in her act. She acted cold and distant and reached for the door without looking him in the face.

“Mr. Davis, I didn’t know we had a meeting today,” she nonchalantly shoved it off his face. She called her by his last name, dropping all the closeness they had.

She started drawing the line, and it was clear why she did that. She didn’t deserve to be called a slut, but at some point, she thought maybe she did somehow.
