“What?” Marcus asked, his voice slightly stammering, reflecting his confusion.

Was there anything wrong with addressing her by her first name? He wanted to be part of her life, and he knew that calling her by her first name would make them seem closer.

“Why did you call my wife by her first name?” Xavier repeated.

Jessica tugged at Xavier’s hand. She had no problem with him addressing her by her first name. It was her name, after all.

Xavier saw through Marcus’s tactics. He saw interest in Jessica, and he knew Marcus could make a move at any time. There was no way he would let him have Jessica.

“Is there anything wrong with addressing each other by first names?” Gold asked with a small chuckle at the end of her statement. She thought he was being silly for asking such a serious question.
