Chapter 248. You Look Pale

Without looking at Stacey, Bianca replied casually, “Are you feeling scared? After all, you’ve made a lot of mistakes. Who knows when karma might hit you?”

Stacey sneered. “I don’t believe in that. If retribution were real, there wouldn’t be so many unfair things happening. I believe destiny is in my own hands.”

Bianca smiled subtly and said, “Some things will happen regardless of what you believe. I heard a story that if someone dies unjustly, their spirit will wander until it finds the one responsible.”

As they talked, a horror movie played on the screen. It told the story of a woman who died from betrayal, and her vengeful spirit returned for revenge.

Stacey felt a slight shiver run through her.

Marisa’s final words echoed in her mind: “You must save him, or I won’t let you off even if I die.”

Bianca noticed Stacey’s pale expression and asked with a hint of a smile, “Stacey, you look a bit pale. Does what I said remind you of something?”
