“Nea… She was always a rebellious kid back then. We let her do whatever she wanted when she was in her teenage. When she said she loved a man, we agreed to her instantly but when we came to know about the character of that man, we refused to accept him.” Mrs. Diaz stopped.

“Is that Uncle Esposito?” Adam asked, indulging in the story.

Mrs. Diaz nodded and continued, “Back then, he was addicted to gambling and had no proper work though he was a young master of Esposito. We didn’t want to see how our daughter’s life was ruined in front of our eyes. We opposed their relationship and restricted her from meeting him.”

Mrs. Diaz sighed deeply. Adam rubbed and circled Mrs. Diaz’s back in a comforting way so that she would not break down.

“You don’t have to continue if it brings you pain, Grandma,” Adam said sensibly.

Mrs. Diaz chuckled. As she mentioned, Adam was a sensible young man though.
