Chapter 81
Ander, parting his way from his brothers, headed to study. He knocked on the door.
“Come in,” Adam’s gruff voice allowed him entry. As Ander stepped in, Adam stood up after seeing Ander.
“Let’s talk.” Ander gestured for a talk, and the two moved to the balcony after Adam agreed with a nod. Adam didn’t know what Ander was going to say since Ander was the one who warned him before. Whatever it was, Adam was determined to face it.
For a moment, the air between them hung heavy with silence. Ander, after a pause, finally breached the silence.
“I’ve been having some suspicions,” Ander admitted, his eyes fixed on the distant trees.
Adam, leaning against the balcony railing, raised an eyebrow. “Suspicions about what?”
Ander hesitated, choosing his words carefully. He shouldn’t talk nonsense since it involved Faith too. “The accident—Grace and Faith involved. Something doesn’t add up.”
