On the anniversary of Faith’s death, a heavy silence lingered between Adam and Grace. Dressed in black attire, they made their way to the graveyard without exchanging a word. After that day when Adam burst out, they barely talked. It was always a silent treatment between them. But Adam was trying his hardest to protect Grace from Carter, the man whom he never came across in his life.
Upon arriving at the grave, a group of familiar faces greeted them—it was Joao, Miguel, and Matilda. Grace didn’t expect them to be here. Little did she know that they already knew the truth.
Although Adam and Grace remained silent, the presence of Adam and Faith’s friends bridged the gap between them, if only for a moment.
As they stood together at the grave, sadness pressed upon them. No one talked. Grace placed a bouquet of white flowers on the gravestone. Tears threatened to fall but she held it back, her heart was bubbling with an unsettled pain.
