"I really thought I lost you," Ethan said seriously, looking straight into my eyes, which made my heart skip a beat.

Did he really miss me that much?

When Marina said it, it felt like it was normal, she ought to say that she was my best friend, but hearing it from Ethan felt different.

"Ahem..." I coughed, trying to dismiss the awkwardness in the room while taking my eyes off Ethan. "How can you lose it, it was just a little bullet."

"A little bullet?" He snickered. "That little bullet could have killed you, and why the hell didn't you say anything immediately after you got shot?" He asked his voice getting higher.

Was he mad?

Why was he mad? He wasn't the person that got shot. If anyone had a right to be angry, that person was me.
