Daniel’s POV

My jaw hung opened, I stared from the two women to Jake. He just stood there grinning, a little too proud of himself. The music, which had seemed loud before, now felt deafening, pushing against the sudden silence in my head.

“Jake, what the hell is this?” I demanded. My voice was low. It held a warning.

Jake shrugged, he acted like this was totally normal. “What’s up? Just some company, man. I told you, Casual thing, I was alone. Thought I’d have a blast with some ladies. But hey, since you’re here, I’m cool on sharing. No problem at all, plenty of fun to go around.” He winked, first at me, then at the two women.
