Chapter 28
Isabella let out a long sigh and resumed her steps, leaving the cafeteria while clutching her cell phone tightly. The girl ignored all the pairs of eyes that were now looking at her curiously. Rumors about Isabella and Bryan's special closeness had indeed stirred up the students in the dormitory, especially the girls who were impressed by the handsome visuals of the son of a senator and the adopted brother of the dormitory owner.
The girl then made her way to the second floor, heading to Jessica's room. Feeling that everything that happened to the girl who was always considered Chloe's right hand was her doing, Isabella wanted to see what really happened. After listening to Maggie's explanation in class, Jessica should have suffered burns or at least blisters on her skin because of the sulfuric acid solution that hit her shoes in class earlier. Isabella was not sure whether the solution had touched the skin on Jessica's feet or only touched her shoes.
