Chapter 32
New York, a few months earlier.
A girl with wavy hair approached Alisa as she sat alone on a wooden bench in the dormitory garden. Alisa was engrossed in a book when Cassandra suddenly approached and greeted her kindly.
"Alisa, why are you here alone?" Cassandra said. Alisa turned her head and was a little excited by the girl's presence there. Who could resist one of the most popular students?
Alisa looked at Cassandra, who was now sitting next to her. She saw that the girl's brown eyes didn't look guilty at all for what had happened to her a few days ago. All the dorm students' grades had been announced and Cassandra should have known that Alisa's grades had dropped the most because of Jessica-her own friend. But apparently, Cassandra didn't look sorry or sad about it. The lanky girl closed the novel she was holding and looked back at Cassandra, who continued to smile at her.
"I want to take you for a walk,"
