Chapter 43
New York, a few months earlier.
That day the clouds turned gray, and the sky seemed to agree to spill their grief at the departure of someone on Earth. A strong wind blew and made the leaves fall during the funeral procession. Not much happened, other than silence and the chanting of prayers to let Alisa go for the last time.
The wooden casket was lowered into the ground, and fresh flowers were thrown by Alisa's parents to accompany her in her final resting place. While the sobs and tears of the relatives and friends, seemed to be a sad music to hear that day.
Isabella stood there, right behind Alisa's parents, in a knee-length black dress given to her by Alisa on her birthday. For the first time, Isabella wanted to wear such a feminine dress.
