The next day had passed with Ayleen deliberately ignoring Murat, consumed by her own embarrassment. She couldn’t shake the thought of how easily she had let him kiss her, as if he wasn’t the same man who had once humiliated and hurt her. How could she not feel disgusted? Instead, she had frozen under his touch, her body betraying her.
Murat, too, found himself in a haze of confusion. He had spent years ignoring every woman who approached him, all for the sake of Selina. And yet, with Ayleen, there was no repulsion, no bitterness. Just… calm.
